Enertech Welcomes the Talented Genevieve Phillips as Managing Director

At Enertech Search Partners we are excited to welcome Genevieve Phillips as our new Managing Director. Genevieve’s broad spectrum of skills and deep talent stems from her 10 years of recruiting experience. She specializes in driving customized recruitment strategies for complex roles with exposure to energy, high technology, and many other industries.

“I’ve recruited in every type of environment you can think of, from boutique recruiting firms to large enterprise environments, such as Microsoft and Philips,” said Genevieve. “Each of these arenas holds their own special nuances and I’ve learned how to ask the right questions to tailor specific search needs to fit each unique client and their business.”

Genevieve characterizes her recruiting style as one with a focus on storytelling. Over her years of recruitment, she’s learned to listen and value the stories of both clients and candidates to create a successful match.

“It all comes down to asking the right questions,” she continues. “You can craft questions in ways that encourage the individual to share stories about their professional journey and career motivation in a way that extends well beyond a general resume. When working with businesses and hiring objectives, it’s all about understanding culture, identifying existing gaps, and getting managers to look into the future as they grow their teams. You have to understand the pain-points on both sides, and know how to relay those stories to each party to uncover a genuine match for both the candidate and the business.”

Before joining Enertech, Genevieve was a Senior Recruiting Consultant at Resourceful HR, a boutique recruiting firm serving Seattle and San Francisco. Prior to that, she was a Senior Recruiter for Microsoft, focusing on senior level sales and marketing roles in the Sales, Marketing, and Services group (SMSG). Responsibilities included partnering with senior leadership to design front-end sourcing strategies, to customize screens and assessments, and to provide account management around recruiting best practices with hiring managers.

Previous to Microsoft, Genevieve was a sales and marketing corporate Recruitment Sourcing Specialist with Philips Healthcare. She started her recruiting career with a focus on agency technical hiring for Volt Technical Resources. Genevieve has a Bachelor of Arts in Society and Justice from the University of Washington.
